The official ribbon cutting ceremony of CE China drew major media attention in China’s “high-tech capital”.

Numerous high-level attendees were at hand, including Dr Christian Göke – CEO Messe Berlin, Biao Chen – Vice Mayor, Shenzhen Municipal Government, Limin Guo – Director General Economy, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, Hongyu Yang – Vice General Manager – Shenzhen Investment Holdings Co., Ltd., Weimin Sun – Vice Chairman of the Board, Suning, Roland Gerke – Chairman & President, BSH Home Appliances (China) Co., Ltd., Jing Yin – President of Tmall Home BG, and Erica Huang – CEO of TechCode.

At the opening ceremony, Dr Göke underlined the success of the first edition: “Last year, 74% of all visitors were impressed by the quality of the show, and the most important Key Performance Indicator for us was that 49% of all visitors established brand new business contacts here in Shenzhen. So I invite you to work together this year to improve these gures!”

Speaking on behalf of the regional government, Biao Chen – Vice Mayor, Shenzhen Municipal Government, gave a warm greeting to the attendees: “I would like to extend our warm welcome to entrepreneurs and friends from the media. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude for your support for the opening up of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.”
